As we wait for some of our parts to be delivered, we are shifting our focus to the physical aesthetic of the motorcycle. The body work of the motorcycle is something we wish to put a lot of effort into in order to make our vehicle stand out from the rest. After researching the aerodynamics and functionality of different bodywork designs, Uslan and Patrycia began sketching different designs that will be implemented to our vehicle. The body work must be designed to be as aerodynamic as possible all while pulling in enough air to cool down some of the electronics mounted such as the Controller and Battery-Management-System. Comfort is also an important aspect we wish to take into account. Attached is a rough sketch of a new design we all seem to be a fan of. This week will be spent finalizing one of our sketches from all angles so that we have a very solid idea of what the body work will look like in 3D. After we agree on a certain design/sketch, we will move onto constructing the body work out of cardboard and physically mounting it onto our motorcycle. This must be done to make sure everything fits and is functional in real life. When that day comes, we expect that we might have to tweak our designs slightly in order to better fit our current frame.
